The consultant consolidation keeps coming — and it's not making your CRM problems cheaper to solve.
Walker Sands, a B2B PR and marketing agency, just acquired RevPartners, a HubSpot-focused revenue operations consultancy. The deal folds CRM implementation, marketing automation, and GTM ops work into a larger agency umbrella. RevPartners built its reputation helping companies set up and tune revenue systems, mostly on HubSpot.
What this actually means: another independent RevOps shop gets absorbed into a bigger firm with more overhead, more account managers, and more incentive to make your engagement last longer than it needs to. The talent may stay the same. The billing structure almost certainly won't.
If you've already been through a consultant-led CRM project — the kickoff decks, the 90-day discovery phase, the change orders — you know how this plays out. Consolidation at the top of the consultancy market doesn't create more flexibility for mid-market operators. It creates larger minimums and slower response times while your team is still building workarounds in spreadsheets.
The firms getting acquired aren't the problem. The model is — where every workflow change you need requires a scoped engagement instead of a Tuesday afternoon.
