Salesforce's stock analysts are busy writing reports about its valuation. You're busy writing workarounds in spreadsheets because the platform you paid six figures for still can't do what you need.
That gap tells you something.
When Wall Street covers Salesforce, the conversation is about growth margins and enterprise contract expansion. What doesn't make the report is the mid-market ops leader who spent eight months on implementation, three rounds of consultant fees, and still can't get a clean pipeline view without exporting to Excel first.
The people analyzing Salesforce as an investment and the people running it day-to-day are living in completely different realities. Investors see a dominant platform. You see a system that requires a certified admin to change a dropdown field.
That's not a software problem. That's a business model. Salesforce profits when you stay dependent. Complexity isn't a bug they're racing to fix — it's how they keep the consulting ecosystem alive and your renewal locked in.
If you've already been through one or two of these cycles — the big implementation, the consultant handoff, the slow realization that you just traded one set of problems for another — you already know the stock price has nothing to do with whether the thing actually fits your business.
The analysts will keep covering the ticker. You still have a CRM that fights you every Tuesday morning.
