The consultancy world just got bigger — not cheaper.

Walker Sands, a B2B marketing agency, just acquired RevPartners, a RevOps shop known for HubSpot implementation and CRM architecture work. The combined entity now offers a wider menu of managed RevOps services, GTM engineering, and demand orchestration under one roof.

Translation: a larger agency can now sell you a more expensive engagement to build the CRM workflows you needed two years ago.

If you've already been through a consultant-led CRM project — the discovery workshops, the six-figure invoices, the handoff that left your team holding a system nobody fully understood — this kind of consolidation doesn't solve your problem. It scales the model that created it. Bigger firms with broader capabilities still charge by the hour, still own the institutional knowledge, and still leave when the retainer ends.

The pattern here is worth noticing. When agencies acquire ops firms, it usually means the market for "someone else to manage your CRM" is growing. That's only good news if renting expertise forever is your plan.

At some point, the smarter move is owning how your CRM works — not subscribing to someone who does.
