The consulting world just got a little more consolidated — and that's worth paying attention to if you've been burned before.

Walker Sands, a B2B growth agency, just acquired RevPartners, a RevOps and CRM consultancy. On paper it's a smart move: combine marketing services with revenue operations expertise under one roof. The pitch will be that clients get strategy and execution in one place.

Here's what it actually means. Agencies acquiring agencies don't suddenly get cheaper or faster. They get bigger overhead, more layers, and a longer path from your problem to someone who can fix it. If you've already paid a consultancy to build out your CRM and ended up with something your team barely uses, adding a parent agency to that equation doesn't change the math.

The consolidation trend in RevOps consulting is real — and it's pricing out the mid-market. When the specialists get absorbed into holding companies, their rates go up and their responsiveness goes down. You're still waiting weeks for a workflow change that should take an afternoon.
