All-in-one platforms sound great until you're the one who has to make them actually work together.

Brevo recently got some attention for consolidating email, SMS, WhatsApp, CRM, and AI-powered automations into a single platform. The pitch is familiar: stop juggling tools, run everything from one place, cut the chaos.

And look — consolidation isn't a bad idea in theory. Fewer logins, fewer sync failures, fewer "why didn't that trigger fire" conversations at 9am on a Monday.

But here's what the demo never shows you: what happens when your sales process doesn't match their default workflow. What happens when you need a custom field, a non-standard pipeline stage, or an automation that fires based on your logic — not theirs. That's when "all-in-one" quietly becomes "all-in-one-if-you-work-the-way-we-decided."

If you've already been through the Salesforce migration, the HubSpot onboarding, the Zoho experiment — you know exactly what I mean. Another platform with a clean interface doesn't fix the underlying problem: the software still runs on someone else's assumptions about how your business works.

The tool isn't the problem. The mismatch between the tool and your actual operation is.
