ZoomInfo just announced an integration with Anthropic's Claude, bringing AI-assisted workflows into its GTM platform. The practical part: access controls, permissions, data lineage, audit logging, and AI policy enforcement are now supposed to run consistently across every part of the system that touches their AI layer. They're calling it free.

That last word will get attention. But "free" on a ZoomInfo contract is doing a lot of work.

Here's what actually matters if you're the one responsible for keeping customer data clean and your team accountable: consistent permissioning and audit trails are table stakes, not differentiators. If your current setup lets reps see data they shouldn't, or you can't trace where a record changed, adding Claude on top doesn't fix that — it just makes the mess smarter.

You've probably already been through a cycle where a new feature or integration got announced, got implemented, and three months later your team had invented five new workarounds because the underlying structure still didn't fit how you work.
